THE 4TH MODULE OF TRAINING AT THE COMMUNITY RECOVERY ACADEMY HAS STARTED

The fourth module of the Community Recovery Academy has officially started.

This module focuses on the topic of resources and investments that are key to the recovery and sustainable development of Ukrainian communities.

The first lecture was given by Guillem Ramírez Chico, who currently heads the EuroCities Academy, a training and capacity building program for the largest network of European cities.

His lecture was devoted to the topic “Joining the EU and how it works”. During the lecture, participants received an overview of European institutions, their composition and functioning. The importance of effective cooperation with European institutions for community development and improving their resources was also discussed. In addition, discussions were held on the EU enlargement process and how Ukrainian communities can take advantage of the opportunities offered by this process.

After completing the fourth module, our participants will defend their projects and receive certificates of completion. In addition, they will have the opportunity to take specialized courses in community management and continue their academic education at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.

Community Recovery Academy, founded by the Association of Ukrainian Cities and the NGO Mariupol.Reborn, aims to train municipal managers for the recovery period. The project is being implemented with the support of the UK Government under the UK International Development program and the International Republican Institute (IRI Ukraine) in partnership with Metinvest and SCM. The educational partners of the project are Metinvest Polytechnic and the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
