The first group of the Community Recovery Academy has completed a course on dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder

Three days of training helped the participants of the Community Recovery Academy to understand the nature of fears and triggers and to gain practical tools to support survivors of difficult events.

One of the main ideas of the course is the balance between acceptance and change. Participants learned how to combine mindfulness with the development of emotional management skills, stress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. This knowledge will help not only in working with communities but also in everyday life.
