The third block of the third module of the Community Recovery Academy is completed

The Community Recovery Academy has completed the 3rd block of the Third Training Module. This time, they talked about community resilience: how to build social ties, restore trust, and form values that will help communities stay united even in the most difficult times.

In particular, the module covered the following topics:

  • Dependence of successful communities on the well-being of their residents
  • Gender equality
  • Nation's resilience and overcoming the trauma of war
  • Policies and urban interventions to address invisible vulnerabilities
  • Returning from war: what do veterans really need?

Together with Till Mostovlanskyi, they analyzed how wars change societies and what can be learned from past experience. And Oleksandra Koidel shared tools for participatory governance and effective communication that help communities not only survive but also develop.

In addition, to improve personal management skills, the Community Recovery Academy launched a joint course with Metinvest Polytechnic, where participants learn modern business intelligence tools to create professional analytical reports and effective data visualization.

This knowledge becomes the foundation for the next stage, as the program will further explore Ukrainian identity, youth return, and social inclusion in even greater depth.

Community Recovery Academy, founded by the Association of Ukrainian Cities and NGO Mariupol Reborn, aims to train municipal managers for the recovery period. The project is being implemented with the support of the UK Government under the UK International Development program and the International Republican Institute - IRI Ukraine in partnership with Metinvest and SCM. The educational partners of the project are Metinvest Polytechnic and the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
