Key tasks during Mariupol's restoration were discussed at an expert conference in Kiev

What should be the vision of updated communities? How to encourage people to return after de-occupation? These issues were discussed at the conference "From (de)occupation to open democratic government." The Mariupol team shared its own work on Mariupol Reborn.

During a series of discussions with the Mariupol community, which is currently displaced, five main tasks were outlined: safety, housing, work, social infrastructure and inclusiveness. It was they who formed the basis of Mariupol Reborn's project, which consists of two large blocks: rapid recovery and great revival.

The first part is a step-by-step plan of action from the moment of de-occupation. It determines the first step-by-step steps after the release of the city and the amount of resources you need.

The second component of the plan is the great revival and construction of a new economic model of the city.

Also, together with the government, projects are being developed, which will form a clear algorithm of actions after being de-occupation.

But it is important not only to have all these strategic documents. It is important to be able to develop and put them in life. It is for this purpose that Ukraine needs a training program - the School of Restoration of Ukraine. Needed managers who will be able to write professionals and speak one professional language with European financial institutions

noted the mayor of Mariupol Vadym Boichenko

The strategy can be the concept of restoring all temporarily occupied territories and is one of the steps in implementing the Concept of Restoration of Local Self-Government after d -occupation, approved by the Board of the Association of Ukrainian Cities.

Mariupol Reborn's project is being implemented by the Mariupol City Council with the investment support by Rinat Akhmetov's SCM.
