Mariupol stained glass: the exhibition "Carefully, fragile!" Was opened in Vinnуtsa
The Gallery XXI has the opening of the exhibition "Carefully, fragile!", Dedicated to the destroyed stained glass of Mariupol. It is a joint project of photographer and journalist Ivan Stanislavsky and the team "City of Maria".
The exhibition presents six photos of Mariupol stained glass windows. As well as their miniature copies that reproduce the sophistication and beauty of the originals. During the opening of the exhibition, a curatorial excursion took place, where visitors learned the history of destroyed Mariupol stained glass.
Among the exhibits of the exhibition were fragments of real stained glass, which clearly demonstrate the fragility of not only art but also human fates.
Thanks to this project, the main meaning is coming - the life of Mariupol has broken today, as well as these stained glasses through russian occupation. We try to talk about these works to immerse people in the value of art and the motives of Ukrainianness that were embodied in the monumental works of Mariupol
The exposition was first presented on the Mariupol Reborn platform in Lviv, and later at the National Museum of History of Ukraine in Kyiv and Rivne.
