Reconstruction by high standards: Gdansk will help Mariupol to become a modern and European city

The founder of the Gdansk Foundation Jacek Bendikovsky noted this. Mariupol and Gdansk combine friendly relations since 2014. The Foundation is involved in the development of Mariupol Reborn's project, assists with the economic development strategy and expertise.

According to Jacek Bendikovsky, Gdansk was destroyed by 96% during the Second World War. As well as Mariupol because of russian aggression. Now Gdansk is a very beautiful and promising city in Poland. The city has a powerful experience of rebuilding and examination with which it is ready to help Mariupol.

Of course, it is awful that Mariupol continues to be occuped. We understand that it is a big tragedy as well as a big challenge - to rebuild Mariupol in a modern format, having prepared it for joining the "European family

Thus, the city can be rebuilt according to the rules of the European Union. For example, the reconstruction of the metallurgical sector will meet the principles of "green production". The seaport will work on an important route - from Asia to Europe. The development of small and medium-sized enterprises can turn Mariupol into a university hub in Ukraine.

We will remind that the mayor of Mariupol Vadym Boichenko signed the declaration of solidarity with the mayor of Gdansk Alexandra Dulkevich, which enshrines cooperation in the development of the plan of revival of the city after the de-occupation - Mariupol Reborn.

Mariupol Reborn's project is being implemented by the Mariupol City Council with the investment support by Rinat Akhmetov's SCM.
