The show of the exhibition project "Mariupol - Gdansk" ended in Dnipro
The show of the exhibition project "Mariupol-Gdansk" in the Dnipro is completed! During the exhibition, we were able to demonstrate it more than 50 visitors!
On the Mariupol Reborn platform, everyone could see 9 powerful artistic projects united by common pain and love for their cities.
The opening of a joint exhibition of Ukrainian and Polish artists took place on August 1. It presented the stories of ordinary people whose lives were destroyed and who have found inner strength to be reborn. The main "highlight" of the exposition is an illustration of the similarity of stories of two cities in different time space. And Mariupol and Gdansk unite the experience of war and the struggle for freedom.
The exhibition was first held in Vienna under Yana Grinov, in the collaboration of Art Contact Ukraine with the Polish Institute and with the kind support of the OSCE permanent representation of Poland, the permanent representation of Ukraine with international organizations in Vienna. In March 2024, the project was presented on the Lviv platform Mariupol Reborn, and for the Dnieper exhibition the exhibition was supplemented by three installations that joined the project after the Open-Call, which was held by the City of Maria City.
In these difficult times, it is extremely valuable for our country, because through such exhibition stories we draw the attention of Ukrainians to what we are fighting for. Art and culture are an important social value that we must preserve and develop.
