The exhibition dedicated to the heroic defense of Mariupol was opened in Mykolaiv

The exhibition "M86", which is dedicated to the defense of Mariupol, came to Mykolaiv.

The exhibits of the exhibition are created according to the defenders. They shared their memories, data, personal belongings, photos and videos. All 86 days were reproduced in the M86 multimedia project.

It was for 86 days that the city kept defense, 82 of which in full siege. The small garrison "Mariupol", including 36 separate brigade of the Marines, restrained the invasion of the "second army of the world".

The exhibition was created to draw attention to inhumane conditions for the treatment of our prisoners of war, to preserve and disseminate information about Mariupol's heroic defense.

The exhibition itself has a lot of symbolism. The works are kept on light and dark pipes. The light symbolizes Mariupol to the invasion, dark - burned and destroyed city after. The pipes are arranged in the form of an arrow, which indicates in the direction of Mariupol.

Separately installed exhibits-symbols that helped the defenders of the hero city to hold on to all these days. There are energy here that the military withstands sleepless nights. The tin light is a thing with which the defenders did not settle. Yellow adhesive tape, blue isotor and blue garbage bag as identification characters. Antiseptics, which after the Kovid pandemic, remained in every building. The military came up with many options for their use. Homemade cakes that the defenders made from the remnant of the cereals after all the stocks of food ended.

The exhibition was created by Big City Lab with the support of the NGO "Heart of Azovstal", "Association of Families of Azovstal Defenders", Mariupol Reborn and Metinvest Group. Earlier it was presented in Kyiv and Odesa.

The exposition will last until October 16, the works are located on Cathedral Square, before the city council. Next, she will go to another city of Ukraine.
