The exhibition "Mariupol: 86 days of defense" opened in Odesa on the Day of Defenders of Ukraine
On the Walk of Glory in the Park named after Taras Shevchenko opened the exhibition "Mariupol: 86 days of defense", organized by Rinat Akhmetov's "Heart of Azovstal". The exhibition was created in the framework of the Project "The Chronicle of Mariupol Defense" together with the Association of Families of Azovstal Defenders with the support of Mariupol Reborn and Metinvest Group. The opening was timed to the Day of Defenders of Ukraine. Relatives of prisoners of war, Mariupol's residents and locals were present at the opening.
The exhibition presents information about 86 days of struggle for the lives of peaceful people and the defense of the city by defenders. The exhibits are presented and which were collected and exported from Mariupol by the city's defenders.
One of the ectorates is flour and water cakes. Such cakes were eaten by the defenders themselves, shared with the locals and, first of all, distributed to children. After all, half a million city was almost without food and water for three months.
The exposition highlights the main events of the city's protection, the details and chronology of which were collected within the framework of the Project "M86 - Chronicle of Mariupol Defense".
The M86 chronicle is an extremely important chronicle of events in Mariupol at the beginning of a full -scale war, told by the participants of these events themselves and verified by the military from different units that participated in the city's defense. Today we are pleased to present this exhibition in Odessa, because many defenders of Mariupol are now living here. That is why we want to learn more about the heroic defense of the city of Maria. And another important mission of this project is the advocacy of the release of prisoners of war. More than 1500 Mariupol defenders have been in hostile captivity for the third year and we have to make every effort to liberate them
You can visit the exposition by October 7 in the park named by Taras Shevchenko in Odesa.
Earlier the exhibition was presented in Kyiv.
