Lack of personnel and social tension - the main problems of the revival of Ukraine after the war, - Rector of KhShA Iryna Matsevko
A big challenge for rebuilding is to make quick solutions that are designed to prevent social tension. This is the opinion of the Rector of Kharkiv School of Architecture (KhShA) Iryna Matsevko.
According to her, after the war, Ukraine is waiting for no less difficult period. This is evidenced by the experience of previous wars and restorations. Therefore, it is necessary to form a reconstruction plans in advance, taking into account all aspects of life return to the community.
In particular - so does Mariupol Reborn's team, developing with international experts the concept of revival of the city after de-occupation
After the war, initially reconstruction - there is a new escalation of tension, conflict, dissatisfaction. And all our projects - whether commercial or social should be aimed in the first place to prevent them. It is necessary to look at many steps forward in order not to cause these solutions to the conflict in 10-15 years. And as the experience of previous recovery shows just that happens
She also added that it is important that the quick temporary reconstruction solutions did not be constant. Among the main points in the revival of the community is the residence of injury by people, because after the war it will be exacerbated. Only the right and long -term approaches will help to live, because many have different memory of events. Especially for Mariupol, because what happened is a tragedy not only for one city, but for the whole of Ukraine.
In addition, she said, the problem of revival is a lack of personnel. Because there is no such knowledge and experience of strategization, which is needed by comprehensive reconstruction of the city. Therefore, it is necessary to invest in quality education and focus your attention on the children of Mariupol, who graduate from schools. They will be able to become professional specialists to rebuild the city because it will take more than a decade.
It should be reminded that between Mariupol Reborn, KhShA and Mariupol City Council a memorandum of launching the training space was signed. The purpose is to create the opportunity to support talented students and to bring them to work on the plan of reviving the city of Mariupol Reborn.
The Mariupol Reborn project is implemented by the Mariupol City Council with the investment support of the Rinat Akhmetov's SCM.
